Collection days

Daka collects dead animals every weekday. On the islands, specific collection days apply, and the collection schedule may be subject to change around public holidays.

Estimated collection

We continuously plan our routes based on the bookings we receive. In some cases, we collect on the same day the animal is booked.

You can follow the expected collection in Pig Up & Ko, where the time is updated continuously. The information is typically updated about every quarter of an hour.

Special collection days

On the islands, the following fixed collection days apply: 

  • Fanø: Thursday 
  • Orø: Thursday 
  • Møn: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 
  • Bogø: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 
  • Langeland: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 
  • Ærø: Tuesday (during the summer months, Tuesday and Friday) 
  • Samsø: Friday (during the summer, Tuesday and Friday) 
  • Læsø: Friday (during the summer, Tuesdays and Fridays) 

Changes may occur in connection with public holidays. 

Christmas and New Year 2026 

Collection: 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 27th, 28th, 29th and 30th December as well as 3rd January 

No collection: 24th, 25th, 26th and 31st December, and 1st and 2nd January

Special collection is used, among other things, for home slaughter, game, spoiled animals, animals with major injuries and other special circumstances where the collection requires individual planning. 

Fixed collection days for special collections: 

  • Jutland: Thursday 
  • Funen: Wednesday 
  • South Zealand and the islands: Tuesday 
  • North Zealand: Thursday 

For certain islands, special days apply: 

  • Møn and Bogø: Tuesday 
  • Langeland: Wednesday 

Changes may occur in connection with public holidays.
