Daka works every day to ensure the safe and responsible management of animal by-products, including as part of the veterinary emergency response. Energy is an essential resource in this work, and we are constantly focused on improving energy efficiency, reducing energy consumption and making the best possible use of energy in our processes.

The energy policy is implemented in practice by:

• Focus on energy consumption, both in connection with procurement, the daily operation of production facilities, and in connection with major process conversions and new installations

• Set targets for energy efficiency and ensure compliance with these

• Ensure information and the necessary resources are available for the energy objectives to be met

• Comply with requirements, statutory requirements and other agreements

• Ensure continuous improvements in energy efficiency

• Ensure that climate change is in focus and mitigated where possible, including through opportunities for conversion to electricity or sustainable fuels
