From byproduct to new resources

Daka's business is based on the recycling of organic by-products into fertiliser, energy and feed ingredients. By utilising existing residual streams, we keep resources in circulation and replace newly produced raw materials.

Carbon footprint in a complex value chain

Daka's climate footprint is linked to transport, energy and operations. At the same time, our products replace fossil and newly produced raw materials, thereby reducing both emissions and the need for new agricultural land.

Energy in production and operations

Energy is an essential part of Daka’s production and operations. We work systematically with energy consumption and efficiency across our plants.

Systematics and responsibility in everyday life

Environmental work at Daka is anchored in a permanent organisation and an environmental management system that covers our plant and activities. The efforts include, among other things, the prevention of pollution as well as the management of wastewater, chemicals and waste.

International recognition

Daka forms part of Denmark's Veterinary Emergency Preparedness and can be activated in the event of outbreaks of serious livestock diseases.

Seen from the air, the three large basins at Daka SARVAL are hard to miss. But what are they actually used for?

Closer to the customers in Zealand

With the facility in Køge, food waste and used frying oil are handled closer to the customers and with less transport.

When surplus heat becomes a local resource

At Daka SARVAL, surplus heat from production is utilised as part of the district heating supply in Løsning.
